In a tragic incident that unfolded on the night of September 30, a speeding car driven by Kannada film actor Nagabhushan SS collided with a couple on the Vasanthapura Main Road in Bengaluru. The accident resulted in the loss of a 48-year-old woman’s life and left her 58-year-old husband critically injured. This horrifying incident has shaken the city, and Nagabhushan has been apprehended by the police on charges of reckless driving.
Kannada film actor Nagabhushan Reckless Driving Claims a Life
According to authorities, the victims, identified as Prema S and Krishna B, were simply walking along the footpath when tragedy struck. The actor, who was reportedly driving his car from Uttarahalli towards Konanakunte Cross, allegedly hit the couple before crashing into an electric pole. The police have described his actions as “rash and negligent.”
The consequences of this reckless act were severe, as the injured couple was rushed to a private hospital. Sadly, the woman succumbed to her injuries on the way to the hospital, while her husband is currently undergoing treatment.
The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Kumaraswamy layout traffic police, prompting swift action from the authorities. Nagabhushan, known for his roles in various Kannada movies, particularly in comic roles, was arrested at the scene.
