Neeraj Chopra, Olympic champion javelin thrower, achieved his second consecutive podium finish at the Lausanne leg of the Diamond League.
In his fifth attempt, Chopra threw 87.66m, increasing his lead over other competitors.
Chopra had a rough start in Lausanne, with a foul throw in his first attempt, but he registered a legal throw of 83.52m in his second attempt.
Prior to the Lausanne event, Chopra won the Diamond League season opener in Doha with a throw of 88.67m, but later suffered a muscle strain during training.
